Edwin E. Jedeikin of Somers, NY peacefully passed away on June 14th,
2010 surrounded by his family.

Ed was born on October 19,1930, the youngest son of Israel and Mollie
Jedeikin. He was raised in Mount Vernon, NY and attended A.B. Davis
High School where he met his High School Sweetheart Joan Gilberg and
later went on to marry on May 10, 1953. He graduated from New York
University and went on to have a successful career in public accounting.

Within that time he served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army in the Korean
Conflict and upon his return began his distinguished long term career
with Harry Goodkin & Company. As a Certified Public Accountant he was
a member of the AICPA and was highly respected in the public and
private sector.

He belonged to the Jewish War Veterans; he was a Master Mason at the
Mount Masada Galaxy Number #902 Masons Lodge in Tuckahoe, NY for
more than 40 years, and was an active member of the Mount Vernon
Jewish Center.

Besides his beloved wife Joan, he is survived by his loving daughters
Beth Mesisco of Mount Vernon and Wendy Schleifer (Norman) of
Briarcliff Manor. He was also the proud grandfather of four grandchildren,
Melissa Mesisco-Chica (Jorge), Chad Mesisco, Justin Schleifer and Ross
Schleifer, and his cherished great-granddaughter Ava Teresa Chica.

Ed is also survived by his sister Sylvia Rosen (Mel) as well as many
nieces and nephews and predeceased by his brother Robert Jedeiken

Edwin had a great quality of life up until the onset of his brief
illness. Edwin had that special something that is hard to define but you
know it when you see it. He loved his family, he loved his friends and he
loved his food. Together with his lovely wife Joan they traveled the
world extensively and visited all 7 continents.

A remarkable, gentle, man who was always great fun to be with; Ed was
truly one of a kind and a gift to all who knew him.
